The Medway Towns Sports Council (MTSC) is an independent voluntary body representing the interests of, and campaigning on behalf of, all sports in the Medway Towns area
The aims of the Medway Towns Sports Council are:-
· To be a conduit and voice for mainstream and minority sports in the Medway Towns area
· To liaise with the Medway Unitary Council regarding the strategic, tactical and operational planning and delivery of sporting facilities and sports in the Medway Towns area
· To liaise with local, regional and national sporting bodies to promote and encourage sport in the Medway Towns area
· To liaise with newspapers, television, radio and other media to represent the interests of sport within the Medway Towns area
· To support and encourage individual sportsmen and sportswomen in the Medway Towns area
The MTSC holds quarterly committee meetings in January, April, July and October.
Each committee meeting is followed by an open public meeting. Representatives of all sports and members of the public with an interest in local sports are very welcome to attend our open meetings.
Our next open meeting will follow the AGM on Friday October 10th 2008 at the Jumpers Rebound Centre, next to Black Lion Leisure Centre.
Officers and Members of the committee are elected for a one year term at the Annual General Meeting in July, which is open to the public, and we encourage representatives of all mainstream and minority sports to attend and be represented on the committee.
Our next Annual General Meeting is at the Jumpers Rebound Centre, next to the Black Lion Leisure Centre, on Friday October 10th 2008 at 7:30pm, followed by an open meeting, with proceedings closing at 9pm.
